This is a cabin filter that came from a customer's car today that had a complaint of low air flow from the dash vents! With all the fires over the last two months has fill the cabin filter with ash and debris. So if you're having problems with low or poor air flow out your heater this might be as simple as replacing your cabin filter. We can do that for you!

27TH Annual Hope Memorial Toys For Tots Christmas Cruise 2020
Thank you to all of you who have helped out this week with the Toys For Tots donations. In just 2 days we were able to fill the 2 boxes and get a few things on the floor as overflow donations. This is a huge help and a great start to our 2020 toy collection and all of these items are in such high demand that they will be delivered TONIGHT to their warehouse. KEEP THE DONATIONS COMING PLEASE! We have never been asked before to drop toys off early and usually they pick them up just before Christmas to deliver them to the kids but this year they are needing anything and everything they can get early!
We are collecting toys until December 20th but the sooner we can get toys the better! THANK YOU ALL for your support and let's make this a record year!

Day one of a very big project at McCormick Automotive Center! Today will be the first of a five day project for a major repair on this truck! The frame was bent and suspension components were damaged during an accident in a snowstorm. A full frame replacement and other suspension components are needed to repair this truck back to original condition. Follow along for updates as we get our customer back on the road again!

DAY 5 FRAME SWAP UPDATE TIME at McCormick Automotive Center!
Our apologies for this post being so late on day 5! It was a very busy day here and a ton of work was completed on the 2017 GMC Sierra frame swap project! Today we got the chasis all back in one piece and rolled under the cab. The truck is running and ready for the bed to be installed and then to the alignment machine to get the new lift kit into specifications! This project is coming along and right on track to be completed this week! Tomorrow the truck will look like a truck again and test driven and on the road! One more day of nuts and bolts and she will be ready to roll out the door! Update again tomorrow! (hopefully earlier than today)

DAY 4 FRAME SWAP UPDATE AT McCormick Automotive Center!
Today we have installed the new suspension components, engine, transmission and front end and rear end differentials. It is possible that we may be rolling the frame under the cab later today! Another update tomorrow!

DAY 3 FRAME SWAP UPDATE at McCormick Automotive Center!
After taking a break for the weekend we are back at it on the 2017 GMC Sierra frame swap project. We have to remove the suspension and the entire drive train including all the brake lines and plenty of other parts and pieces. Today was the first day of swapping parts and going back together. Tomorrow will be a good day for progress! Another update tomorrow!

As promised we will be posting daily photos and updates of the frame swap of this truck! After just 24 hrs the cab of the truck and bed have been separated from the frame and drive train components. Next will be the removal of the engine and transmission and they will be installed in the new frame later today.

DAY 7 FRAME SWAP UPDATE AT McCormick Automotive Center!
The repair has been completed and the customer has their truck back and so happy to have it before the snow hits this weekend!
In this repair we replaced the entire frame of the vehicle, left front steering knuckle, CV axle, front brakes, damaged wheel and tire, installed a new splash guard under the front bumper. We also, by request of the customer installed a new 4 inch lift kit, new upgraded running boards and a bit bigger tires! (I'm certain that I missed a thing or 2 in the list but you get the picture!) This truck turned out looking FANTASTIC! At times during the repair it was all hands on deck and each and every technician in the shop had a hand in the job! Our team in the shop did an excellent job helping out when an extra hand or 2 were needed! It was a fun repair and we are thankful to have such knowledgeable, capable and qualified technicians to take care of any repair that walks through the door! Thank you so much for following along on this repair. We hope to do more of these posts to give you a glimpse into what our technicians do on a daily basis to keep you and your care safe and on the road!

DAY 6 FRAME SWAP UPDATE AT McCormick Automotive Center!
Today was a good productive day and we got the truck all back together and running. We are doing a final test drive on it tonight and then a very thorough nut and bolt check and then a recheck of the alignment in the morning! What a cool and unique undertaking and repair that we got to perform on this truck! We are very happy that we were able to help out our customer and get this repair finished up for them! Final update tomorrow night!

Another big project for a customer on their 2011 Ford F-350. In this project we will be replacing a turbocharger, fixing oil leaks, brakes all the way around, new rear shocks and a few maintenance items to get the customer ready to tow a camper all over the country this spring and summer.

It’s 1st Lieutenant Bernie Friedland’s 95th birthday!!!! He’s a WWII Veteran with a heart of gold. Dozens of people across Sarasota drove by his home this afternoon to wish him a special day and thank him for his service to our country.
FINAL UPDATE ON THE 2011 FORD F-350 TURBO PROJECT AT McCormick Automotive Center!
Today we finished the repairs for the customer and he was extremely pleased and thankful for the repairs we made on his tow rig! We not only got the truck going again but installed new brakes all the way around and a few oil leaks were repaired in the process.

DAY 3 UPDATE AT McCormick Automotive Center!
The truck is up and running this morning and we have the "GO" side finished up and now it is time to get it to STOP and ride like a dream! Today the 2011 Ford F-350 is getting new brakes all the way around and new rear shocks! By the end of the day today this truck should be ready for summertime fun pulling a camper around the country! Final update should be later today!

DAY 2 UPDATE TURBO REPLACEMENT at McCormick Automotive Center!
Out with the old and in with the new! Along the way we located and repaired multiple oil and antifreeze leaks and replaced all the gaskets, lines and hoses that were leaking. Today's progress will include finishing the installation of the turbo and replacement of the brake pads, rotors and calipers as well as replacing the rear shocks for a better ride!
