Effective tomorrow 3-31-20 our office will only be open in the mornings to see patients. We will still be taking calls for urgent matters until 4:30pm and then we will use the answering service as normal for after hours. If you need prescription refills you can continue to leave messages on our RX line, we will be checking it daily and will call you when the Rx is ready for pick up. If you have a well check scheduled and would like to reschedule until things have calmed down please give our office a call. Everyone stay home and stay safe, together we will all get through this!
As a result of the COVID-19 outbreak our office will be scheduling WELL children in the mornings and SICK children in the afternoons. This will hopefully help keep possible exposure to any illnesses to a minimum during this time. Also during this time our office hours may vary depending on amount off calls and patients we are seeing. Please be patient with us! Per Nationwide Children's concerning COVID-19 Testing.....
1.If you think a child may need testing, please pre-screen using the following criteria and only direct families to call who meet them.
IF PATIENT HAS SYMPTOMS of a significant cough, fever or shortness of breath PLUS either A or B....
A. A significant underlying medical condition (specifically immunocompromising condition or chronic pulmonary or cardiac disease NOT including Asthma.
B. High risk exposure factor:
1. Child traveled internationally within 14day prior to disease onset
2. Child traveled on a cruise ship within 14 days prior to disease onset
3. Exposure to SYMPTOMATIC individuals (fever or respiratory symptoms) who have traveled internationally or by cruise ship in the preceding 14 days.
4. Exposure to a laboratory CONFIRMED case of COVIS-19
ONLY PATIENTS WITH A POSITIVE PRE-SCREEN SHOULD BE REFERRED TO NATIONWIDE CHILDREN'S COVID-19 TESTING LINE.
