Beautiful Lakota received her first Cold Laser Therapy on her elbows for arthritis today.
We are so privileged to have a state of the art full in house lab. We can now have your pets bloodwork and full urinalysis results within minutes.
Danny is on the left and is one of our Vet Techs that week are appreciating today. Danny has 4 years of experience he enjoys every aspect of helping animals feel better and keeping them healthy. We appreciate everything you do Danny. He enjoys playing video games and spending time with his Girlfriend who is also a. Veterinary Assistant and his one eyed chihuahua named QuinnThank you for being a part of our team. Assistant Becca is also pictured.
Gonzo is one of our amazing Veterinary Assistants. He has been an assistant for 3 years. He has a great passion for Dental cleanings and surgeries. Gonzo has 4 dogs 🐕 all little Chihuahua mixes. He recently became a first time dad with his wife who is also a Veterinary Assistant. Yay Gonzo thank you for all you do. We love having you as a part of our MMAH team.
Today we will appreciate our VetTech Becca. Becca is a graduate of West Mec Veterinary Assistant program. Becca has a strong focus on emergency care and treatments for your pets. She also enjoys painting, hiking and fitness. Becca has two dogs Sunny and Peanut. Sunny is a 9 year old Lab who she taught 20 tricks to do including roll over, spin, speak among more. Peanut is a chihuahua that knows how to sit. Thank You Becca for all you do for our pets. We appreciate you every day!

We are proud to announce that Dr. Janelle Starr will be joinng our McDowell Mountain Animal Hospital family.
Dr. Janelle Starr was born and raised in Arizona. She received her undergraduate degree from Northern Arizona University in 2015 and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in May 2019. She is passionate about many areas of veterinary medicine including surgery, internal medicine and preventive care. As a veterinarian, Dr. Starr is eager to advocate for her patients and create long lasting relationships with clients. Outside of work she enjoys playing with her dogs, Fitz (Miniature Australian Shepherd) and John (Lab mix), and spending quality time with her husband and family. Her hobbies include watching movies, dancing and doing outdoor activities.

Mary- On December 28th I witnessed a German Shepherd get hit horribly by a truck. I was so worried about him for days wondering if he was alive hurt or suffering. Thanks to the HARRT team they located him and were able to rescue him. We did some X-rays on him and he is truly a miracle Dog as he had no major issues. He’s absolutely gorgeous I was lucky enough to see him and give him love. Dogs are amazing.

ALERT! I just saw a large German Shepherd Black and Tan with a collar on of some sort get hit by a truck. He/She got up and ran into the desert going south. Bell Road near 94th St. I tried to get him/her but it got up and ran into the desert and it was still dark out. I (Mary) cannot post on Nextdoor App can someone post in case they are missing their dog.
