Dr. Tibolt began practicing at Medical Center Eye Clinic in 1992. He grew up in Massachusetts and Nevada, graduated from Dartmouth College, and received a Ph.D. in anatomy from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He held a junior faculty appointment there until he entered medical school at the University of Texas in San Antonio.
Bob took an internship in internal medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, Oregon before completing his ophthalmology residency at Casey Eye Institute, Oregon Health and Science University. He has served as President of the Oregon Academy of Ophthalmology, councilor to the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and has served on the faculty of OHSU.
Bob and his wife, Susan, are the parents of two sons. In his free time, Bob enjoys sports of all kinds, map-making, model building, and many outdoor activities.
