About MMTC
MMTCFL came into existence in 2016 following the legalization of medical marijuana for qualifying conditions in Florida. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Joseph Dorn had just finished his twelfth year of working in hospice care for terminally ill patients, rounding out more than 30 years of practicing traditional medicine, and his experience told him that it was time to be part of a change. In the past, many patients suffering from painful and debilitating conditions faced treatment by often-addicting or ineffective medication, with no option to first try a natural solution such as medical cannabis for pain management and treatment. When that option became legalized, the doctors who would soon form the medical staff of MMTCFL knew that they wanted to make a career out of connecting patients to medical cannabis treatments which could make real changes to their lives.
Medical Marijuana Treatment Clinics of Florida maintains a primary focus of supporting patients seeking effective cannabis-based alternative treatments. We accomplish our mission in a manner which complies with state laws, local ordinances, and medical board guidelines, as well as keeps service costs to a minimum. These core principals allow our patients continued access to Florida’s system of compassionate care. Our mission is to support and encourage the public’s safe access to medical marijuana through Florida’s Compassionate Care Act [Amendment 2].
