Megan was born in South Africa and spent many of her formative years overseas. As a child in the 1980 s, she was living in London where the punk culture was at its peak. It was there that the creative and often outrageous hairdos with vibrant colors burned themselves in her memory and where she first developed abiding interest in the art of hair and an appreciation as well as a fine eye, for the use of color. She loved her childhood visits to the Vidal Sassoon Salon on South Molton Steet in London -- and those visits heavily influenced her career choice. After the family moved from London to Maine, visits to the Vidal Sassoon Salon in Boston when she was a teenager set her desires to "do hair" in stone.
Starting her career at Vidal Sassoon in Boston in 2002, Megan transferred to their Atlanta salon in 2005 as Assistant Head of the Color Department. From 2008, she was the Head of Color at Soren Salon in Buckhead, then owned Megan Kelley Salon Atlanta 2013-2017.
Through her work at Vidal Sassoon, she gained recognition by her meticulous and artistic work behind the chair. As a member of Davines' North America Artistic Team (5+years) and traveling internationally with the prestigious Italian company as well as working international hair shows, her reputation was cemented.
Megan's work is appreciated by many in the business world and in the entertainment industry. Formulating the best hair color for them, her clientele includes celebrities and many on-air CNN and CNN Espanol personalities as well as professionals from the booming Atlanta Film and Music Industries.
Megan invites you to have your own celebrity-style experience at at her new home, Bei Capelli Salon -- a little gem in the historic business district of Daytona Beach, Florida -- owned by Suzie Beardsley. Suzie and the ladies at Bei Capelli are all gifted hair artists.
