Artist Statement:
Megan's work is a study of form, color and composition. Painting primarily in oil, she creates illustrative images with strong line work and a sense of balance and calm. Art Nouveau and the Arts and Crafts Movement, which is sometimes cited as a prelude to Modernism, influence her style. Nature and organic forms inspire my compositions. She explores pattern, light and shadow, and color in my paintings. Her background in illustration manifests in many of her works, lending a narrative nature to the compositions.
