Dr. Megan Shaffer is a general pediatrician in the Westlake Village office. She enjoys caring for children and adolescents of all ages and working alongside her patients and their families to foster healthy development.
Dr. Shaffer attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and completed her general pediatrics internship and residency at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital. She received her master’s degree in Physiology and Biophysics at Georgetown University and her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Virginia.
Dr. Shaffer has a specialized interest in preventive care and nutrition. She focused on these topics during her residency training and also volunteered with the Student Wellness Program at Mark Twain Middle School and at the Venice Family Clinic. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Shaffer is originally from Richmond, Virginia, and has loved her transition to Southern California. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the local food scene and area beaches with her fiancé, Ryan, who was born and raised in Westlake Village.
