Dr. Melinda Martin has always enjoyed practicing obstetrics in Prescott and Prescott Valley, Arizona, and having children of her own gives her a personal perspective on pregnancy and childbirth. At Melinda M. Martin, MD, she combines her training and expertise in obstetrics with her own experiences to treat her patients with compassion and deep understanding every step of the way. She considers it a true privilege to participate in one of the most blessed events in a woman’s life.
Dr. Martin received an undergraduate degree in pre-med from Purdue University and earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her postdoctoral training residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. In addition to her OB/GYN board certification, Dr. Martin is a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has hospital staff privileges at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott and licenses to practice medicine in both Indiana and Arizona.
With the philosophy of providing excellence in health care in a warm and caring environment created by women, for women, Dr. Martin and her team offer a variety of health services to women in Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, and throughout Yavapai County. They provide family planning, hormone replacement therapy, and cancer screening, among other services meant to help women take a proactive approach to healthy living at every stage of their lives.
As the longest-practicing female physician board certified in obstetrics and gynecology in Prescott, Dr. Martin has extensive knowledge of health care issues that are important to the women of Yavapai County.
