Dr. Melissa Gastellum received her doctoral degree from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ and completed her residency through the National College of Natural Medicine based in Portland, OR. She received her BA from Smith College in Northampton, MA.
Dr. Gastellum practiced in California for the past 8 years before returning to her hometown of Tucson, AZ. She treats a variety of chronic conditions, primarily utilizing diet and lifestyle changes, homeopathy, detoxification/cleansing, nutritional therapy, herbal medicine, and IV therapy to help her patients achieve optimal wellness.
While in medical school she received advanced training in classical homeopathy with Dr. Andre Saine at the Canadian Academy of Homeopathy in Montreal. After graduating, she completed an intensive in-patient internship program at TrueNorth Health Center in Santa Rosa, CA, focusing on medically supervised water-only fasting. She has attended seminars internationally with experts in IV therapy and integrative oncology, including the annual Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians conference, the International Mistletoe Meeting in Germany, and Advanced Topics in Intravenous Nutrient Therapies in Oncology. She is licensed in California and Arizona, and is a member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the California Naturopathic Doctors Association.
