Our local Search & Rescue team needs more equipment & here is a link to donate. I personally got to see this weeks operation and what it really takes to complete a successful search & rescue operation.
Our team broke 8 shovels, borrowed snowmobiles, chainsaws, helicopters, rescue sleds and La Plata SAR even brought up a snowcat as well as team members.
All Colorado SAR teams are made up of community volunteers. Our local SAR team has some amazing men & women who step up, leave their businesses, families and all other obligations for days on end to do the right thing for others in trouble.
We had a county comissioner, town councilman, business owners, EMS, avi experts and just down right good people show up for this Ophir avalanche incident. They are the unsung heros of our community 🙏🏽.
