Tomorrow this little man will be 5 years old and all he wanted was a real life Trash Truck for his Birthday. Being the good old #trashmom I am, I had to make this happen . A huge thank you to G. Mello Disposal Corp. for making his birthday amazing! We all had tears in our eyes and the driver and his family came out in the rain on a sunday to make my kids day. In the world of covid it makes it hard to have a “ fun party” but this was better than anything we could have planned. With a few friends and family, Myles had a real life Trash Day. Thank you Mello G Disposal Corp!!!!!

Out of an abundance of caution, the Newbury Transfer Station will be closed from Friday, December 4 until further notice due to unconfirmed COVID exposure. Newbury residents may use the Georgetown Transfer Station during the closure. Thank you for your understanding.

Commercial containers and rolloffs:
delayed one day in many cases. If we can pick up, we will. Otherwise expect us on Friday.
Residential trash and recycling:
-We are working in Amesbury and Newburyport but may be slower than normal.
-Thursday routes in Boxford and Georgetown are delayed until Friday.
-Friday routes in West Newbury and Merrimac will be delayed until Saturday.
Check back here for any changes.
UPDATE 12/16/2020: The Newbury Transfer Station will reopen on Saturday, December 19 with its regular hours.

I cant believe I am writing this, but after 4 months of our cat Mia being lost at Mellos transfer station, Mia has COME HOME.
I worked with Jason Mello himself yesterday to put a trap at the transfer station and we caught her!!
I cant thank the staff at Mellos enough. I cant thank the people of Georgetown with your absolute kindess and best wishes enough. We need to take her to the vet to get checked out for safe measure.. but this is surely a Christmas miracle if I ever saw one.

Due to changes in regulations at the burn facilities, we will not be able to pick up Christmas trees in all towns. All subscription customers are welcome to bring their trees to the Georgetown or Newbury transfer stations for a fee of $10. 
Trees can only be collected in Newburyport, Amesbury and West Newbury.
