The Mental Health Association of South Central Kansas is a nonprofit organization that was established in 1957 and serves the Sedgwick County community in Kansas. It offers a wide variety of services, including problem solving, medication monitoring and assistance with activities of daily living, such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, meal management, laundry and grooming. The mental health association s services also include case management, crisis support, providing employment and educational opportunities, finance management and psychosocial programs. It also offers early intervention and violence prevention programs, recreational and social activities, and chemical dependency, and advocacy and support services. It is a United Way agency that is associated with the National Mental Health Association and is an affiliate of Sedgwick County COMCARE. The organization is located in Wichita, Kan., and is approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
