We love practical and easy products and equipment when cleaning homes. This “Wooley” as we call it is amazing! It extends to get hard to reach areas and allows our team members to dust places like door frames, ceiling fans, behind furniture and the corner of ceilings.
High dusting is something that comes automatically in our standard clean in any room. People sometimes focus on other problem areas in a bathroom and tend to forget the dust.

I don’t know about you but fall weather puts me in the mood for that cozy feel and smell!! 🍁 One of my favorites is making my go to homemade potpourri for my home! It’s so easy and versatile as I swap out items during different seasons 👇
❇️In a pot or crockpot combine:
2-3 cinnamon sticks
1 sliced orange
1 sliced apple
2-3 whole cloves
Add water to fully cover all ingredients and turn on low/simmer.
Tip: when water gets low just add some more to be able to reuse for days!!!

So, I am embarrassed to admit this but I was not the person that made my bed daily 🤦🏻♀️ I was more like a 50/50 for the week..actually let’s be honest probably 20/80. However, as you know I have been on an organization and cleaner home journey for the last few months. Which means I have been trying to make my bed EVERY day!! 🙌. And wanna know what I have learned from doing that? 👇
1. It actually takes less than 5 minutes
2. It instantly gives me satisfaction
3. By making my bed everyday actually motivates me in keeping my bedroom clean!
4. It’s more challenging to get my husband on the bed making train than actually making my bed! 🤪
5. Even though my kiddos tend to destroy my nice bed when they feel the need to pillow dive into it when they come in my room🤦🏻♀️ It still gives a sense of calm when I pull the sheets down to crawl in bed at night

Using a sharpie marker (any color) write guests names on glasses to distinguish who’s is who’s . To remove just splash some water on a Mr. Clean magic eraser and lightly wipe name away on glass. The eraser instantly takes it off and you can clean as usual!!! 🙌.

Allow me to show you an EASY way to magically make it sparkle and shine!
Supplies needed👉 Distilled white vinegar, coffee cup, ziplock bag, hair tie/rubber band and toothbrush
❇️
1. Place ziplock bag in coffee cup with edges folded over
2. Pour 1 cup of white vinegar into cup with ziplock bag
3. Remove bag from cup with vinegar and place around shower head
4. Use hair tie or rubber band to secure
5. Set timer for 30 minutes
6. Remove bag from shower head and use tooth brush to clean away dirt and buildup

Hairspray has always been an issue in my bathroom..it’s gets EVERYWHERE 🤦🏻♀️ and I’ll blame my husband for the toothpaste splash 🤪 I have tried so many things over the years and never found something that was an EASY and QUICK clean up...until this year. 🙌👇
❇️I have already shared my love for @scrubdaddy but my heart got fuller when I discovered their scrub mommy ❤️legit...its the best tool I have used in a pinch to easily wipe off hairspray residue and toothpaste on my mirror. 👉 all you do is spray your favorite glass cleaner and use the soft non scratch side of the sponge.

Do you have a glass shower? 🙋🏻♀️ Something that constantly gets build up is at the bottom of your shower👉 Either in the track of the door or the track insert on the glass. That’s why you need to clean this regularly👇
❇️ Here’s a tip using one of my favorite household products!
If you have a shower with tracks👉Apply white vinegar using cotton balls to saturate tracks
If you are like me and have a glass shower👉 just remove the strip at the bottom (i remove and place in my tub!) and use the same method using cotton balls to get the vinegar into the middle. ⏲ let the vinegar sit for 30 minutes then grab your cleaning toothbrush and scrub clean!! 🙌 rinse with water and dry with your favorite micro fiber cloth!

Are you a mom that struggles getting your kids to do chores? 🙋🏻♀️ I have tried chore charts, racing who can clean up the fastest and other random suggestions from others That sometimes included target runs🤦🏻♀️. NONE have been successful and to be honest discourages me as a mom. I am a firm believer of teaching my kiddos(at all ages) the value of working together as a family in maintaining the home without allowance. Don’t get me wrong, I am not against allowances just not for basic tasks that kids should be learning! When I told my boys I wanted their help cleaning..I got the typical “ughh what do I have to clean now?!” 🤣When I told them I needed them to jump on my bed their eyes got big and pure excitement came out!
Dust in a home hides and settles in so many places. Mattresses are no exception and tend to collect dust over time. If you are sensitive or allergic to dust that makes your sleeping even worse! That’s why they need to be freshened up every now and then.
❇️TIP👉Let the kiddos (or you!) jump around on the mattress. This will allow the dust to move around from the inside and come out. Next vacuum the top of the mattress with a soft attachment. ✅

1. Sprinkle baking soda all over stove top
2. Wet your favorite microfiber cloths with water and ring out
3. Lay the wet microfiber cloths on top of the stove top with baking soda (this will create a paste underneath!)
4. Let sit ...this is the best part because it can sit for 10 minutes or one hour!!
5. Wipe clean with the microfiber cloths that were laying there! ✅

“Flexible” should be the theme for 2020😂
I don’t know about you but Christmas is looking different than past years for us. However, something that I think has been a positive is having the opportunity to try new traditions and appreciate the little things.
So what WILL we do? We will still dress up in our holiday attire and go to church...in our living room. I’m cooking our holiday dinner for the first time which means testing new recipes that I would not have had the opportunity to make(wish me luck!!!). We will virtually be there with our families(cocktail in hand 🤪) to be able to see them. I will be able to wake up on Christmas morning and not have to be somewhere with the hopes I might actually enjoy a cup of coffee😍.

They save so much time and they don’t leave behind lint. 👉 also, make sure when you are dusting to start at the top and work your way down. This way when the dust falls it’s not going on a clean item. Remember, dust is like snow it falls from the top! 😍 last tip? 👉 when dusting work from left to right to make a complete circle!

My favorite motto for a new year, ”365 days= One year of opportunities”.
I have to admit starting social media for our businesses a year ago was out of my comfort zone. I was NOT a fan of showcasing myself or family in a public way and to be honest I shied away from it for a while. @davidandtiffanyphotography played a HUGE role in encouraging me to be open. By doing so, I have to admit I’m so glad I did. I was able to connect with SO many amazing people in the community AND other local business owners all while showcasing our amazing staff!
So what’s to come for 2021??? I will continue showcasing our amazing staff (bc duh they are our backbone!🙌), I will keep sharing EASY and PRACTICAL home tips(bc yes I’m a busy working momma), AND to keep pushing myself out of my comfort zone I want to share more content from being a #womeninbusiness . If you don’t have these items at your house...well we may not be meant to be friends 🤣 white vinegar is probably one of my favorite at home #diy product to use for basic household cleaning other than my favorite @merrymaidsofficial products. 👉Shower heads get so much build up each month even when cleaned regularly! This easy white vinegar tip is something I have shared before & I try and do each month on my shower heads. The best part? It only takes about 5 minutes of actual work! 🙌
Supplies needed👉 Distilled white vinegar, coffee cup, ziplock bag, hair tie/rubber band and toothbrush
1. Place ziplock bag in coffee cup with edges folded over
2. Pour 1 cup of white vinegar into cup with ziplock bag
3. Remove bag from cup with vinegar and place around shower head
4. Use hair tie or rubber band to secure
5. Set timer for 30 minutes
6. Remove bag from shower head and use a tooth brush to clean away dirt and buildup

Self care...it means something different to everyone because it’s what’s important to YOU! It’s one of the most important things as women we can do. It allows us to be better, less stressed, look less tired 🤪 and sleep better at night. I can honestly feel it in my body when I am not self caring and prioritizing myself. ❇️Tip for self care: if you are an experienced self care woman👉 Schedule days in your calendar that are strictly for you to have that time. Book a spa day, girls night, gym time..ect. If you are new to self care👉 Set a timer for 20 minutes on your phone. Once a week take 20 minutes and have it completely to yourself!!! Have a drink of choice, take a bath, read something inspiring, take a walk around the neighborhood....anything that can clear your mind! 🙌

Self care...it means something different to everyone because it’s what’s important to YOU! It’s one of the most important things as women we can do. It allows us to be better, less stressed, look less tired 🤪 and sleep better at night. I can honestly feel it in my body when I am not self caring and prioritizing myself. ❇️Tip for self care: if you are an experienced self care woman👉 Schedule days in your calendar that are strictly for you to have that time. Book a spa day, girls night, gym time..ect. If you are new to self care👉 Set a timer for 20 minutes on your phone. Once a week take 20 minutes and have it completely to yourself!!! Have a drink of choice, take a bath, read something inspiring, take a walk around the neighborhood....anything that can clear your mind! 🙌

If you don’t have these items at your house...well we may not be meant to be friends 🤣 white vinegar is probably one of my favorite at home #diy product to use for basic household cleaning other than my favorite @merrymaidsofficial products. 👉Shower heads get so much build up each month even when cleaned regularly! This easy white vinegar tip is something I have shared before & I try and do each month on my shower heads. The best part? It only takes about 5 minutes of actual work! 🙌
Supplies needed👉 Distilled white vinegar, coffee cup, ziplock bag, hair tie/rubber band and toothbrush
1. Place ziplock bag in coffee cup with edges folded over
2. Pour 1 cup of white vinegar into cup with ziplock bag
3. Remove bag from cup with vinegar and place around shower head
4. Use hair tie or rubber band to secure
5. Set timer for 30 minutes
6. Remove bag from shower head and use a tooth brush to clean away dirt and buildup

With all the snow we have been getting it’s making me think of a common problem in a home. DUST!!! Snow and dust have something in common.....they both fall from the top to the bottom.
❇️Pro tip👉When dusting your home you always want to make sure you start at the top and work your way down in a room. That’s how we train our team members and use this technique while in customers homes.

With all the snow we have been getting it’s making me think of a common problem in a home. DUST!!! Snow and dust have something in common.....they both fall from the top to the bottom.

✨I will admit...because we are all friends🤪 that I have struggled with keeping an organized home over the years. Clean? Yes, bc of my trusted @merrymaidsofficial team I have kept a dirt free home but it still did not appear clean. 🤦🏻♀️ 😫 With little ones, both my husband and I working outside of the home and just life itself, has made it difficult for me to upkeep. A little over a year ago I started my home organization journey. It’s a service we have dabbled in and I wanted to “walk the walk” for what I was going to market to sell. When I say it has been a game changer...that’s an understatement. My home is still a work in progress BUT I have been able to maintain a cleaner home with things having a designated place. I have ignored my closet for so long because I never loved it and hoped to renovate it eventually. However, waiting for the perfect room or space will leave you unorganized and full of excuses. Sound familiar? 🙋🏻♀️
So...enter my “un instagram” worthy closet. Wire shelving, awkward layout, dark and to my liking...too small. However, those should not be excuses to keeping it organized and clean! This was my project this week to improve functionality, make it more organized and make the most of what it was “as is”. So, what did I learn? 👇
1. Matching hangers are a game changer no matter the space! Yes, they are an investment but one you will not regret.
2. I own too much 🤦🏻♀️🤪 no but really, I realized how much I have held onto that needed to be donated. While also acknowledging the fact that I would still buy more through the seasons bc well..I enjoy shopping 🤣 three boxes later of donations I have never felt more productive!!
3. Organizing using the 🌈 system instantly makes your space look visually appealing
4. Finally, make your space fit YOUR needs. For me- I added labels to bins of items I keep in my closet, removed all of my cocktail dresses that were taking up space(bc let’s be honest I rarely wear!) and added special touches like motion LED lights for a more customized look.

This woman here showed me it was possible to be a working woman while still being a wife and mom to our family. She also taught me I could do anything I wanted no matter how high of a reach it may have seamed even though I was a girl.
Two lessons I will forever be grateful for 😍
It’s women in the past that have paved the way for women today. It’s up to us to continue paving way for the next generation of amazing women that will move mountains ✨

- rinse large plants off in shower
- use a spray water bottle with mild soap solution
