Founded in 1998, Merry Maids is a family owned small business servicing Springfield and surrounding areas. We are a franchise, locally owned, offering the standards of the largest home cleaning brand in the United States.
This is a position as a team member of ours cleaning houses. We work Monday through Friday 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM, but we can accommodate some part time options as well, so feel free to apply even with limited availability. You'll get paid holidays off and guaranteed yearly raises. You must be able to pass a national background check (no felonies or misdemeanor theft charges) and a drug screening. You need to have a reliable vehicle to use on the job, a valid driver's license, and current vehicle insurance. Professionalism is a must. We need someone who knows how to interact with customers professionally. You need to be friendly, presentable, and able to dialogue without oversharing. You need to be able to handle hard work, as the job is VERY physically demanding.
On a normal day, you'd come in to our office at 7:45, gather your supplies and equipment, and be out the door by about 8:00 A.M.. You'll normally clean 2-3 houses, depending on the type of cleaning the customer wants. You'll typically work alone so we need someone who is self motivated and accountable. You'll normally be off between 3 PM and 5 PM. The schedule is somewhat unpredictable, so we need someone who can adjust to sudden changes. The ability to adapt to different circumstances is necessary. You'll be required to wash floors on your hands and knees, woodwork, windows, walls, light fixtures, showers, toilets, etc. We clean in many different environments, from extremely clean and tidy to really dirty.
We are looking for an upbeat, driven, detail oriented individual who excels in customer service and doesn't mind hard work! If you fit our description and you love cleaning, please apply!
Salary: Guaranteed $13.00 per hour, most average $14-$15 per hour. We reimburse the cost of mileage as well.
