Dr. Michael Copeland is a board-certified neurosurgeon practicing with Neurosurgery Associates of Jackson County, and affiliated with Centerpoint Medical Center. Dr. Copeland offers more than 20 years of neurosurgery experience. An active researcher, Dr. Copeland developed and was the first to perform intrauterine repair of myelomeningocele, a severe form of spina bifida. In addition to his medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine, he holds a PhD in neuroanatomy from there as well. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Neurological Surgery and of the National Board of Medical Examiners, and a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery.
