Dr. Michael Field specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias (electrical abnormalities of the heart). His practice also includes minimally-invasive catheter ablation procedures for the treatment of atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia and other arrhythmias, as well as implantation and management of cardiac devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators., He completed medical school at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, both in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed fellowship training in Cardiology and Cardiovascular Electrophysiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital / Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts., He has written several of the national guidelines on the management of patients with cardiac arrhythmias and is a nationally known expert in the management of atrial fibrillation.
