Originally from San Francisco, CA, I attended Berklee School of Music from 2010-2013
While in Boston, my best friend Steve and I were writing music together and eventually we formed a band called Seren. We graduated school and moved Seren to Denver, CO in September 2013. It was here in Centennial that my love for teaching would flourish. I started working at My Music Skool the Summer of 2014, where I sharpened my skills further. Alongside conducting tons of private lessons, I have been able to have the amazing experience constructing multiple Rock Camps, where students join forces and start a band together, and then perform!
I have had a blast the last 5 years. Lessons with me are FUN.
Connecting with a driven individual is one of the most rewarding feelings for a teacher, because it sparks real development. There is a huge surge of positive energy flowing between the student and teacher if both parties are aware and present. Teachers are great communicators, and you can depend on my ability to communicate the nuance of body development that occurs when we are drumming, practicing, etc...
The way I teach drumming fundamentals is broken down into three concepts:
1. Focused limb development (staying on the beat)
2. Limb coordination
3. Muscle memory
