The electric heat rate begins, and the peak demand hours change to the winter schedule as of tomorrow, October 1st. Please make sure your breaker is on to your heat meter and take note of the demand hour changes. Let us know if you have any questions!
This morning we were called to an Apartment Complex that had lost power to a whole building, which left 21 tenants out of power. We located and found a bad underground, that had been previously spliced improperly by other contractor. The protective shrink wrap covering hadn't been properly installed, leaving the splice exposed to moisture and weather. As the technicians were digging out the line, the closer they got to the break, there was smoke coming from the ground and the dirt was hot. It was so hot, some of the dirt was transformed into hard chunks much like lava, those pieces actually melted their gloves. Our technicians dug out the fault, properly repaired and buried. Great work Marty and Ben!

We were called to reattach a meter to the house, we found the service was located in the bathroom. Dustin and Mikey relocated the service outside and brought up to SD electrical code.

Today Mick's was called to repair wiring in a well pit. Due to the use of improper junction boxes in a well pit, it caused corrosion which led to a direct short and 40 houses losing water. Ben and Mike removed the old wiring and installed the proper boxes and wire bringing up to electrical code.
