BAD form Vs GOOD. The first picture is a terrible way to lift or pick up anything! Bend coming almost solely from the lumbar spine, rounded back, arms away from the body. I see people picking up their weights or setting them down like this all the time and it hurts me - because I know it’s going to hurt them at some point! These repetitive habits will quite literally make or break the health of your spine. Picture #2 is more ideal. Flat lumbar spine, arms tucked close to body and head in a neutral position. Also activate your core! Think about always keeping a curve in your lower back with everything you do, and you’ll be better off in the long run.
