For quite some time I have been advised to change how I offer benefits to my employees. We've paid 100% of their health insurance cost for several years. Each year there is a price increase and I continue paying 100%. Recently I was again approached with the high costs of insurance and how I should be only paying a percentage of employee costs so they have more responsibility. It's pretty quick to dispel this idea for me. I'm sure some of the people would cancel their insurance rather than pay anything. I'd hate for any of them to have an issue and not be able to get the help they need. It's more profitable for me to have great employees that are healthy and confident that they can have a resource to stay that way than the money I may save charging them a portion of their insurance. These people are important to me.
