MIKE'S SWEEPER CENTER IS CLOSING!!!
After serving the Tri-State area for 60 years...Mike's Sweeper Center is closing its doors this year. We will be having a "soft closing" throughout the remainder of 2020 and after we close the store, we will become a service & repair facility exclusively. No more...bringing your vacuum cleaner to our shop as we will be expanding our "Free Pickup & Delivery Service". If you need your vacuum cleaner serviced or repaired, simply call either of our phone numbers. (740) 282-2244 or (304) 243-9877. How can a local business owner...who relies on local foot traffic for his success...actually defend buying a product made in China from a big box store and then...try and defend it. He did a good job for me at a fair price but...I’ll never support nor promote his business.

So much for...”Buying Local”. I approached a church group about an opportunity to raise money for a cause of theirs. For every vacuum cleaner that we sell to either a member of their church or a referral from a member of their church we...Mike’s would donate $50 back to the church. For whatever reason...I didn’t ask, they decided not to. Instead, they opted to continue to buy their vacuums over the internet or big box stores. Only thing I asked was when was the last time Amazon or Sam’s Club wrote a check to their church for $2500-$5000? Nothing but silence on the other end. So...instead of supporting a “local business”as well as their own church, they simply chose to keep things as usual. GO FIGURE!!! #Igiveup
