AIM High: The Jerry Clay Scholarship Fund
September 11 at 12:53 PM ·
Today would have been the 6th Annual AIM High Charity Skeet & Trap Shoot to raise money for welding scholarships. Sadly, we were unable to have this event due to the Governor's order.
We had an incredible day planned due to it falling on the 19th Anniversary of 9/11. The Gold Star Sponsor was going to allow some of our local Gold Star families an opportunity to take part of this fun-filled day. It would have given us an opportunity to remember their sacrifice. and honor their loved ones.
Back in February, a couple of us went to NYC and were treated to a VIP tour of the 9/11 Memorial Museum. We explained our fundraiser to their executive team and our goal to make it all about 9/11 on 9/11. Well... they went above and beyond our expectations. The merchandise we got is out of this world. And it is safely packed away for next year, Friday September 10, 2021. But in our minds and hearts, it will be a 9/11 day.
One last thing, perhaps the most important auction item we have is a cross that was created using steel recovered from the rubble at Ground Zero. It was designed by retired FDNY Fire Fighter Michael Harsch from Engine 222 in Brooklyn, NY. This gift was made possible by Miller Welding's Sandy Tomanelli. She is a friend of Michael Harsch and a former Fire Fighter/EMT from Long Island. Sandy was on duty when the Twin Towers were hit 19 years ago.
We can't wait to unveil this precious piece next year on the 20th Anniversary of 9/11.
Thanks to all of our sponsors and supporters. We can't wait to see everyone in a year!

It's been a good BBQ run. After 18 years, we have decided to take a break from our annual John Clay Memorial BBQ to benefit Hospice of Michigan. But don't worry! We are still sponsoring Barley, BBQ & Beats at VanAndel Arena (time & date left out on purpose...you know why). We hope you'll consider joining us there where you will see some of our great BBQ Rib Chefs, awesome distilleries, and fantastic music. We will have a special location at BBB to recognize.....
John & Jerry Clay - the BBQ Brothers who started it all!
We are so deeply appreciative of the love and support you have shown us over the years. The impact of your generosity has been monumental to Hospice of Michigan. Your money ensures that everyone receives end of life care, regardless of age, diagnosis or ability to pay.
Gratefully,
All of us at Miller Welding
(Current Situation) Never mind...everything is canceled! Barley, BBQ & Beats will be back in 2021.

Check out this email from a student who met with CWI York Lynch at her school’s career fair.
We are thankful for our customers and we’ll take this “Michigan Economy” all day long. Loading up this order for delivery tomorrow. Hoping our 53ft trailer is big enough.
Getting ready to deliver FR Lab Coats to one of our customers. Love it when you see female welding engineers!
The power of blue... Blue lake. Blue sky. And the Miller Blue Star 185. Pure Michigan.
