I have always loved the quote ‘The body achieves what the mind believes’. In my practice I see how people change their beliefs and it changes their body and how they perceive and interact with the world.
My grandmother will turn 96 in September. She’s famous for saying ‘this too shall pass’ and ‘it is, what it is’. Two weeks ago, she fell and broke her hip, went to hospital, had surgery was released to rehab to learn how to walk. At one point she had to go to the bathroom so badly for hours and no one came to help her. She slid off her bed and walked down the hall to use the bathroom. I was absolutely amazed by her drive and determination! What 96 year old recovers from a broken hip and starts walking a week later on her own?!
