Congratulations to our October Employee of the Month Ms. Debbie Woodson 🥳🎉 Debbie has been with MASS as the Outreach Supervisor since August 5, 2019. In addition to creating a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community, we also offer restoration of rights. If you’re not familiar with the rights you have, come talk to us! We want to make sure you are fully educated about the rights you have before you leave our centers.

Voter registration can be very different for them and we have to try to make the process as smooth as possible. It’s on us! At MASS, we are doing this by helping our trans community with registration while also creating a safe space.

We also have a harvest program here at MASS. So much food is wasted throughout the world and yet many people still end up suffering from hunger.
With our program and local organizations, we are able to distribute food to the homeless, those who are part of our condom distribution program, and those in our CHARLI program.

The event will repeat the first Saturday of each month, and the community is embracing our efforts to bring support and services to the LGBTQ+ community in Suffolk for the Western Tidewater region. Our goal is to eventually fundraise enough to open our own physical location where you'll have access to an array of resources and programs. Our February Employee of the Month is Katrina Mallory! Katrina has been with MASS as a Non-Medical Case Manager since April 15, 2019. During her tenure she has been instrumental in providing a multitude of services for clients and staff alike including testing in jails, testing at events, screening, assisting with client files and assisting anyone in and outside the office including spur of the moments events. One of her coworkers fondly shared, “Katrina is loved by clients and staff alike. She goes the extra mile for MASS and I’m glad to be working alongside her.” Congrats again Katrina!
