About

Dr Coca is a medical and surgical retina specialist. He has been practicing at Everett & Hurite Ophthalmic Association in over 5 different offices in PA and WV.

He completed his subspecialty training at the Chicagoland Retinal Consultants. His residency in Ophthalmology was at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where he served as chief resident. Prior to his career in medicine Dr Coca pursued his research interest in physics and immunology and earned a PhD in Experimental Partical Physics from the University of Rochester.

Dr Coca treats complex medical and surgical retina conditions, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, flashes and floaters, retinal detachment, macular holes, vascular occlusions, retinopathy of prematurity, uveitis, and eye trauma. He also has an interest in sutured intraocular lenses.

Dr Coca grew up in Romania and recently moved to the Pittsburgh area.
