The wisest one word sentence? Breathe. Architecture: @cornerstonearchitectsllp Photo: @thevuvobandit Big admirers of this Austin area home that made the cover of @luxemagazine last year. We’re working on a few projects that require gas lanterns, and this style is one of our favorites. This particular one is the Contempo by @thecoppersmithlighting. Worried about committing to gas? Most gas lantern companies make their styles in electric, so you can accent your front gas lanterns with electric ones along your sides and backyard or just go all electric! 💡 Wishing everyone a beautiful Monday evening! If you’re in Houston, step outside and enjoy the breeze...🌬
Morning glories. 🌼 Design + Home: @marieflaniganinteriors Photo: @juliesoefer We’re closed today at the shop, but we’ll be back at it Tuesday morning! This wasn’t our project, but it’s a guest bedroom that infinitely inspires. Layers of creamy whites and just the 👌 amount of asymmetry. The Lordford Smoke Bell lantern and @alexahamptoninc designed Sawyer table lamps, both by @visualcomfortco, are the icing on the cake. We’re getting our order in for @marieflaniganinteriors’s pieces for @visualcomfortco that are expected to be in at the beginning of 2021, so stay tuned for more. 💛
Laundry room + mud room magic. Home: @monikahibbs This popped up on my feed while I was cleaning and oh my. Library lights and adjustable arm lights making an appearance in many areas of the home is one of my favorite lighting trends...and one that I think will stand the test of time. This particular lovely is the Gale library light by @visualcomfortco. So beautifully done @monikahibbs! 🤍
When every day is made for brunch. 🍽 Design + Home: Julie Howard for @timbertrailshomes Photo: @stofferphotographyinteriors One of my favorite kitchen views from the talented @timbertrailshomes. Love the Boston pendant with mercury glass by @visualcomfortco shown here over the island and the Nottaway chandelier by @curreyco in the living space beyond. The Nottaway is one of my favorites for large spaces with lower ceilings (or where you don’t want to obstruct the view) because the large size is 61” (!!) wide and the body of the fixture is only 25.75” tall. That large width is doable because it’s an airy fixture. There’s also a 36” wide version that works beautifully in sitting rooms and breakfast nooks. Extra plus is the chain which allows you to adjust to just the right height in the field! ✨ Thank you as always @timbertrailshomes for giving us something to dream about! ♥️
Only one way to start the day: with gratitude. 🧡 Home + design: @prettydomesticated Last week was a bit of a nightmare, so taking today to reset. Love seeing the Gaios table lamp designed by @aerin for @visualcomfortco in its Volcanic Verdi finish in this beautiful setting by @prettydomesticated. Earthy and polished at the same time. This whole image is like the perfect Sunday sigh. ✨ We will be closed tomorrow, Monday, for Yom Kippur, so apologies in advance for the inconvenience! Head to Katie’s account @prettydomesticated for more of her work. 🌿
Home love. 🤍 Design: @studiomcgee Photo: @lucycall Did you hear the news? @studiomcgee has a show on @netflix!! Now that’s something I’d want to watch. (Sorry football lovers...🤷🏻‍♀️) This remodel of theirs is one that I always look to for lighting inspiration. From the Darlana lanterns on the exterior, Vendome sconces in the entry, Fontaine chandelier in the living room, Plantation lanterns over the island, Launceton chandelier in the dining space, the Grosvenor hanging shade in the laundry room, Go Lightly in the bedroom, to the Desmond lantern + Reed sconces in the bathroom...traditional done with a forward thinking sensibility. Let us know what you think in the comments below! Do you love it too? 🌿
Home tour. 🖤 Home: @buildwithbedrock Via: @leah_reinert + @atlantahomesrealestate Haven’t done a home tour in a while! This Atlanta-area home, which has since sold, was charming and approachable, so it caught my eye. If you’re curious about the lighting, read on! They used a style similar to the Yorkshire lantern on the exterior and accented the gas lantern style with angled shade barn lights by the garage. Inside they, they used @kellywearstler for @generationlighting’s Nuance pendants over the island mixed with the Morland double arm sconce by @savoyhouselighting and the Marnie sconces over the windows, the Tara sconce by Mitzi in the powder room, Xtreme H2O fan and Wave fan by @minka_aire in the patio and living room, and a style like the Rowan by @worldsaway1 in the stairs. What do you think? Home goals? 🏡 Head to @buildwithbedrock for more of their work!
For the love of Jean... Design: @jeanstofferdesign Photo: @stofferphotographyinteriors I couldn’t sleep last night and did as any well-meaning person would do and fell down the @jeanstofferdesign rabbit hole. Love how they did not shy away from using lots of brass and gold accents in this remodeled home, including lots of lighting from our favorite Houston based company @visualcomfortco. If you head to Jean’s account you’ll see the before photos too! ✨ Dying to visit her shop one day, but until then, living through the images will have to do...🖤
Light + Bright. ✨ Design: @briahammelinteriors Photo: @spacecrafting_photography One of my favorite bathroom moments that I’ve pinned, saved, and constantly return to. The Bryant sconces + Soleil semi-flush are lighting classics that accent the other design details in the space but don’t distract. More and more I appreciate the pieces that are what I perceive to be the lighting equivalent of slow fashion - lighting that won’t go out of style or age poorly. In fact they’re pieces you’d consider passing down one day. Thank you for creating this beautiful moment @briahammelinteriors! 💛
A little bit of lovely goes a long way. ✨ Design: @katiedavisdesign Photo: @kerrykirkphoto This project was perhaps the first we ever worked on with @katiedavisdesign and seeing the photos of the completed downstairs took my breath away. She used the Dalston hanging shade over the island, the Toulon table lamp + Saxon chandelier in the living room, and you can just make out the Plantation large linear pendant in the breakfast space beyond. Thoughtful, layered, and impactful. Just the type of space to get Monday going on the right foot...💛
“The earth has music for those who listen.” Design: @lorraine.franklin.designs Photo: @valeriewilcox Via: @houseandhomemag Quote: Shakespeare A stunning bathroom moment featuring @visualcomfortco’s Keeley Tall Pivoting Sconce. 💛🌿
Channeling end of day calm. 🍃 Home + Design: @theidentitecollective Photo: @madelineharperphoto Eyes glued to the TV. But would rather have eyes glued to this quiet kitchen moment by @theidentitecollective featuring @hudsonvalleylighting’s Ridgewood library light. Note how the distressed bronze works beautifully with black accents and the subtle knurled knobs add an industrial flare to a classic piece. I have a feeling it’s going to be a long night...who else is on the sofa tonight watching the election results roll in?
There is no kitchen like a Jean Stoffer kitchen. 🖤 Design: @jeanstofferdesign for @jldetroit Revisiting this stunner (more views on @jeanstofferdesign’s page). She often chooses classic lighting pieces but makes them feel new again with a clean, no-nonsense sensibility infused with just the right amount of vintage, European-inspired soul. She used @ralphlauren for @visualcomfortco’s Fulton pendant here in the industrial steel finish and the Dorchester picture light in antique nickel over the cabinetry (+ the two-tone Carlo lamp looks quite at home perched beside the custom leather banquette). I’m also noting how lovely the tones of silver - whether it’s steel, antique, or polished - can be in a space, like a chorus where each voice is distinct but singing in harmony. I can imagine this kitchen looking just as fresh ten years from now as it does today. ✔️ Thank you as always @jeanstofferdesign for inspiring all of us here.
“A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.” Design: @vanessaparkerdesign Build: @designated.developments Photo: @platinumhdstudios Quote: Oscar Wilde One to watch @vanessaparkerdesign shows us that a bathroom can make us dream. We brought in this @hudsonvalleylighting Sawyer pendant into our showroom because we were enthralled by the sfumato glassblowing technique used on the glass. Each piece is different, and that’s part of its beauty. We’ve seen it used over islands, but love the effect it creates when balanced on either side of a vanity. (And extra 🖤 when set against @cole_and_son_wallpapers Nuvolette wallpaper.) Thank you @vanessaparkerdesign @designated.developments @platinumhdstudios for inspiring us all the way down in Texas! ✨
So lovely. Coffee...Check! View...Check! Ahhhhh! M&M Lighting is at M&M Lighting. November 2 at 7:16 AM · Houston, TX · “Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you are.” Design: @julieblyons1230 + @thedesignstudio_ma Quote: Chinese Proverb Originally saw this image ages ago via @christiandawdesign and it always pops back up on my feed just when I need it most. Changing leaves, like an oil painting, through the window. Large farmhouse sink, welcoming dirty dishes or perhaps even a baby in need of cleaning. The effortless mix of brass plumbing + hardware with gilded iron lighting. The grounding dark wood in the foreground. This time I’m noticing how the cabinetry under the sink matches the island, a clever touch that adds continuity to the design. As for the lighting, they used @visualcomfortco’s Dauphine sconce, a great piece for places where you don’t want your sconce sticking out too far, and we can just see a hint of the Darlana lantern in the foreground. Bravo @julieblyons1230 + @thedesignstudio_ma for ushering in beautiful fall design vibes. 🍂♥️

Work from home. 📚 Design: @katemarkerinteriors Build: @tartanbuilders Architect: @momentdesign_architecture Photo: @stofferphotographyinteriors Moody offices are having a moment - what do you think? 🖤 Always looking for new lighting ideas for home offices and this @katemarkerinteriors design stopped me in my tracks! Love the Rope Globe chandelier here - a fun natural take on a geometric design. Check out the #hugsallaroundclient for more of this project and follow the talented team above for more of their work!
Kitchen vibes. 🤍 Design: @jenferrandi Construction: @vista.general Photo: @erickrukphoto Love all things @jenferrandi and this kitchen shows just how beautiful #whiteandwood can be! From the porthole detail on the pantry door to the glorious tile going up the cabinetry to @visualcomfort’s Aspen Large Conical Hanging shade, this kitchen is giving us all the feels. The Conical shade could look equally great down a hallway or in a secondary bedroom. Place two over a dining room table? Effortless cool. Follow @jenferrandi for more of her work. 🌿🖤
The art of layering. 🖤 Design: @micahabbanantodesigns Photo: @sarah_strunk_ Proof that there’s no single recipe for kitchen lighting success. ✔️ Loved seeing a single chandelier over an island (in this case, @edbyellen for @generationlighting’s Brianna chandelier) in lieu of two or three pendants. Also admiring @edbyellen for @generationlighting’s Joan mini-pendants above the windows and you can just make out @savoyhouselighting Cameron sconces along the wall. Follow @micahabbanantodesigns for more of her work, and let me know what you think below! Would you shake up the standard kitchen lighting routine?
No rain, no flowers. 🌸 Design: @lexiwestergard_design Photo: @johncwoodcock It’s pouring here in Houston, but this kitchen by @lexiwestergard_design is enough to brighten the day. Love seeing @markdsikes_interiors for @hudsonvalleylighting’s Painted No.2 pendants in the blue bird and aged brass finish here + what looks like @hudsonvalleylighting’s Pelham sconce above the window. We showed blue cabinetry early today - what do you think about blue lighting? 💙 Head to @lexiwestergard_design for more of her work!
Make mine a triple ✔️ Design: @erinsander Photo: @parbengtsson1 We’ve reposted this beautiful coffee bar moment before, but it felt so right today because I needed a little pep in my step. ☕️ Coffee bars in homes definitely seemed trending in #homedesign on Instagram this past year, and I hope it’s a style that continues to prevail in the new year. What better way to shine some light on the subject than @visualcomfort’s Boston functional arm light, placed just at the top of the arch here. And that white inner shade? That’s a sign of a thoughtful design. White helps reflect the light more than a metal finish. 🤍 Bottoms up!
Welcome. 🏡 Design: @cornerstonearchitectsllp Interiors: @andrealeighinteriors Loved this moment in Austin, Texas so much by the talented team above that we had to bring in this @noirfurniture chandelier. Head to stories for a view and let us know what you think! ✨ And check out @cornerstonearchitectsllp + @andrealeighinteriors for more of their work! 💛
Setting the mood. ✨ Design: @jeanstofferdesign Build: @kenowabuilders Photo: @stofferphotographyinteriors Saved this beautiful powder room moment from @jeanstofferdesign’s Madison project. She paired @hudsonvalleylighting’s Colton sconces in aged brass with an antique mirror, beautiful wallpaper by @kellyventuradesign, and @sherwinwilliams Evergreen Fog. See also: one more reason to wash your hands! For more views head to @jeanstofferdesign and thank me later! 🖤
Room with a view. 🌄 Design: @houseofjadeinteriors Photo: @lindsay_salazar_photography Build: @killowenconstruction Taking a quick midday break for air! Who else is a city dweller dreaming of these views? 🙋🏻‍♀️ Here @houseofjadeinteriors brilliantly paired @arteriorshome Larie chandelier (made of five tiers of seedy glass) with @hudsonvalleylighting’s Barkley sconces. It’s hard to tell in photos, but the Barkley is made of cast metal and features an alabaster diffuser. Simple + luxurious with the perfect dose of organic elegance. Thanks to the talented team above for giving us something to dream about! 💕
“Realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have.” Design: @edwarddeeganarchitects Photo: @karenloffing Quote: Eckhart Tolle Revisiting this Chicago-area home renovation @edwarddeeganarchitects shared some time ago. They used two @markdsikes for @hudsonvalleylighting pieces here: the Painted No.1 pendants over the island and Metal No.2 sconces over the windows - classic pieces with elevated details. Other elements to love? The @annsacks Favo tile backsplash, Dakar quartzite polished countertops, and the walnut chevron detail on the island. We’re so excited to revamp our showroom display with @markdsikes pieces for @hudsonvalleylighting, so stay tuned for more! Thank you @edwarddeeganarchitects for continuing to inspire! 💛
Cool front 🌬 Design: @fortedesignstudios Photo: @creilmannphoto A drop in temperatures calls for getting inspired by cozy designs, like this warm bathroom by @fortedesignstudios based out of Fort Collins, Colorado. Love how they paired @minka_group’s Keeley Calle lantern overhead with @hinkleylighting’s Filmore bath vanity lights. I always underestimate the impact of a pendant, but this is proof they shouldn’t just be reserved for kitchen islands or entries. Thank you for inspiring @fortedesignstudios + @creilmannphoto! 🖤
Sometimes two is better than one. 🤍 Home: @barrowbuildinggroup Architect: @heatherawilsonarchitect Photo: @kcharlottephoto Love the idea of light leading you into a space. This image is always a source of inspiration - we just brought in the third size of @aerin for @visualcomfort’s Agnes pendant, so you’ll soon be able to see all the sizes in person. It comes in white/gild (as shown here), gild/white, black/gild, or silver leaf/white. Each finish and shape makes it feel like an entirely different piece. @barrowbuildinggroup was also kind enough to share that the paint color on the door and railing is @benjaminmoore Duxbury Gray for those inquiring minds who may want to know! Thank you for inspiring @barrowbuildinggroup. ✨
Make a good entrance. ✨ Home + Design: @mhousedevelopment Photo: @margaretrajic Via: @lindsay_hill_interiors + @smpliving Excited for our latest batch of @visualcomfort Morris pendants to arrive and loved seeing the small size here in this entry. (And if you peek beyond the front door you’ll notice @troylighting’s RLM Globe pendant.) They kindly shared the front door color is @sherwinwilliams Cityscape, the board and batten is Extra White, and the study sliding door is Iron Ore. Thank you @mhousedevelopment for inspiring! 💙
