We've raised a total of $3,105 for our Grandparent's day fundraiser! This money supports our Safe at Home program in providing repairs and modifications for low-income seniors throughout Franklin County. Our goal is to help homeowners age in place with independence and dignity. If eight more people donated $50, we can reach $3,500! Help us keep homeowners like Rae and her grandchildren warm, safe and dry in their homes. And just a reminder, every dollar is matched up to $10,000 thanks to Union Savings Bank. Happy Grandparent's Day! Grandparent’s Day celebrates the connection between the generations - an opportunity for all of us to honor the strength and guidance provided to us by our older family members, neighbors and friends. Most importantly, it is a chance for us to share our love. Help us continue to provide safe and healthy homes for all of our grandparents through home repairs and safety modifications. We believe everyone deserves the choice to age in place with independence and dignity. https://bit.ly/Give-Lively SECURE.GIVELIVELY.ORG Donate Now | Grandparent's Day 2020 by Modcon Living
Thank you Central Ohio Women in Trades for choosing Modcon Living to host this DIY workshop! Central Ohio Women in Trades is at Modcon Living. September 12 at 3:09 PM · Columbus, OH · A big shout-out to Columbus SOUP and Social Ventures for sponsoring our full-day women's DIY workshop, Pass the Hammer! This was a special series geared towards low-income households where we offer our normally paid DIY classes free of charge, as well as supply a binder filled with printed resources on local careers in the construction trades, info on the day's topics, and a stocked toolbox full of appropriate tools, testers and safety equipment that allow participants to properly and safely maintain their homes. We drilled, sawed and hammered our way through Tool Introductions, Carpentry 101, Electrical 101, Plumbing 101 and HVAC 101! Please contact us if you or your company is interested in sponsoring another workshop series to help support your community!

Join us to continue serving those who have served us. 10 days left to give in honor of a veteran you love! Because of you, veterans like Gary will remain warm, safe and dry in their homes with independence and dignity. Gary entered the United States Army in 1984, serving our country and protecting our freedom as a Heavy Anti Armor Weapons Infantryman. He drove Humvees, protecting troops during the Iran-Iraq War. Gary was discharged after suffering injuries from both active duty and training troops while serving in the Inactive Ready Reserve. He has suffered a broken ankle, shoulder, heel, knee (the list goes on) and has received multiple replacement surgeries. Gary now uses a walker to help him mobilize. He is in need of a number of repairs to keep him and his family warm, safe and dry. Hear more of Gary's story and join us this month to continue serving those who have already done so much for us! https://secure.givelively.org/donate/rebuilding-together-central-ohio/veteran-s-day-2020
