Monique Olivares, PA-C, is a physician assistant who specializes in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. At her practice, MODermNYC, in the Midtown East neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City, Monique sees children and adults of all ages. She has particular expertise in treating conditions — such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, and other skin conditions — ranging from warts to complex autoimmune diseases. Monique also provides an extensive range of cosmetic treatments, including BOTOX injections, dermal fillers, body contouring, laser hair removal, and microneedling, as well as laser skin rejuvenation and treatment of skin blemishes.
Monique studied for her undergraduate degree at Boston College in Boston, Massachusetts. She then completed the postbaccalaureate pre-medical program at Columbia University in Manhattan. Monique attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey to qualify as a physician assistant.
Monique has a continuing passion for academic study and research. She has been actively involved in high-quality medical studies that cover areas like the effectiveness of specific medical and aesthetic treatments and new methods of treating dermatological conditions. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, a Fellow of the American Association of Surgical Physician Assistants, and a Diplomate of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She is also the director of a dermatology residency program.
