Mohammad Osman, MD, is a Board Certified Pediatric Gastroenterologist with Pediatric Specialists of Texas in San Antonio.
Dr. Osman doesn’t wear a white coat. He prefers a friendlier, less clinical interaction—as if he’s meeting his patient and their family for coffee. “With children, the gratitude parents express when you’ve helped someone so precious to them is fulfilling,” says Osman. “When they feel better, I really feel it, too.”
He was only a teenager when his father suffered from multiple medical issues. His fascination with hospitals and a frustration with his lack of medical knowledge are what propelled Dr. Osman into a career in healthcare. He then chose to practice pediatrics for several reasons. “I enjoy dealing with parents and families, and it’s exciting to follow my patients as they grow up,” he says. Caring for children also makes me a much smarter physician. Examinations and testing help you reach an accurate diagnosis when your patient can’t or won’t tell you what’s going on.”
Dr. Osman joined Pediatric Specialists of Texas in 2019, and focuses on helping children with digestive system, liver and nutritional problems.
