Is it almost over, or just beginning?
Where did the year go? Looking at the weeks ahead 2020 is basically a wrap.
The election is over, temperaments are cooling, holiday schedules are getting buttoned down, we’re about as settled as we can get into the work/school routines. Things are wrapping up for the year, but certainly new opportunities and beginnings are upon us. New beginnings for our country, for our families and for our businesses.
It’s been an interesting year of uncertainty, but it’s gifted me the opportunity to ground, root deeper, and connect more meaningfully to what I do and the people I love/surround myself with.
I don’t know about y’all, but for me, all this chaos has blossomed some serious inspiration and lately everything feels like it’s moving forward with a little more intention and a little less friction…and it’s just the beginning!

I started journaling in 2nd grade. Over the years the topics of my entries have changed from boys and school drama to parent/entrepreneur life, spirituality and other random, often chaotic musings that live inside this crazy dome of mine. Lol!
Despite the content range, it’s been a practice that has supported my creativity, functioned as therapy and has helped me clarify my vision, purpose and goals.
This week, journaling has been my secret weapon for shifting gears! I’ve been running a million miles a minute lately and sometimes I’m switching gears so fast I don’t know what day it is.
When I spend just 5-10 minutes “clearing the cache” into my journal between tasks I notice a HUGE boost in my energy and focus levels.
Sometimes I’ll make lists. Sometimes it’s random thoughts. Sometimes it’s clarifying my vision and my purpose. Sometimes it’s poetry and deep thoughts. And sometimes I just have fun and start doodling away. But the result is always the same...I can get back on track and dive into what’s next with a clear head.
