Sweet Harvey came in to see Dr. Jackson for a cherry eye repair. Cherry eye occurs after a tear gland in a dog's third eyelid becomes inflamed. While it is usually not painful, it can be irritating. We’re happy to report that Harvey did great for his procedure, and thanks to our friends at North Mecklenburg Animal Rescue, he will be ready for his new home soon!

Although American by birth, Dr. Edwards studied in Europe and graduated from The Agricultural University of Wroclaw, School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She has been practicing small animal emergency medicine since 2012 in the USA. Emergency medicine is her passion and has taken her many places. She moved to North Carolina from New Hampshire after living abroad in Europe for eleven years. She describes the move to North Carolina as relocating to the best place on Earth and absolutely loves the Southern way of life!!! In her free time, Dr. Edwards enjoys reading, walking her two dogs, playing with her two cats, and exploring our beautiful state!!!
