For more than a decade, we’ve worked with Red Ledges Land Development on a variety of projects near Heber City and we appreciate the relationship we have with them. Just this week, our crews were there working on an ongoing utility project in one area of the development while paving in another. Over the years, Morgan has performed full infrastructure constructs, including earthwork, utilities, curb and gutter, road base, and asphalt paving. Scope has also included all underground construction, comprised of sewer, storm drain, and dry utility improvements – all completed by Morgan crews. A few of our guys and some customers had a great time at the 17th Annual Trap Shoot Tournament hosted by AGC of Utah ! It was great to get out with some friends to shoot some shotguns! We’ve been seeing double while working on a Hughes General Contractors job up north the last few days. We’ve been paving the Kenworth facility in West Haven and brought in two pavers to get the job done. We love paving these big jobs with long stretches of area to cover. With today’s record cold temperature, there hasn’t been a lot of paving going on around the state. However, we did have our team working on an excavating job right at the Utah State Capitol Building throughout the day. That’s what we did today at the new Village 8 Elementary school in South Jordan, which is a Hughes General Contractors project. The Morgan team has been working on the new Utah State Correctional Facility west of SLC, which is an Layton Construction and Okland Construction joint venture project. In 2020, we had some team members achieve “Years of Service” milestones. Both Brice Butler and Dennis Druce have been a part of the Morgan team for 25 years! One of our utility crews was in Heber Valley (near the intersection of US-40 & UT-32) last week on a project to install utilities in an area of the state that continues to grow. The underground work that goes into these types of projects can be taken for granted at times because we end up burying all the great work we do in the ground. Some of the Morgan team members recently had the chance to go to the Utah Olympic Park (UOP) in Park City to ride in the bobsleds on the same track from the 2002 Winter Olympics. Morgan has completed a lot of great work at the UOP and we have formulated a fantastic relationship with the team there. The bobsled ride was a lot of fun and very fast.
