Orthodontic Technician Job Summary:
Assist with all phases of orthodontic treatment as directed by Dr. and/or treatment plan.
Essential Job Functions (other duties may be assigned):
路 Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care.
路 Help motivate patients to achieve the very best results from orthodontic treatment.
路 Serve as key communication link between the patient and the orthodontist.
路 Complete accurate notes in patient records as required.
路 Sterilize, set up and prepare orthodontic equipment and instrumentation in accordance with established regulations and guidelines.
路 Maintain clean, neat work area.
路 Follow OSHA guidelines and maintain safe and effective working habits.
路 Maintain good attendance and arrive on time ready and prepared to perform job functions daily.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
路 Knowledge of orthodontic treatment
路 Good communication skills: verbal and listening
路 Organizational skills
路 Strong attention to detail
路 Time management skills
路 Effective interpersonal skills
路 Ability to maintain professional demeanor and appearance
