Hi! My name is Anna Peterson and I have been working here for about a year, with a small break last winter while I was finishing up high school. I actually am the owners’ niece, so it’s great to be working with family! I’m currently going to college, so you’ll see me working a couple times a week. Thankful
With Thanksgiving being this week and with situations different for many this year, I wanted to take this time to relay a true story that shows kindness of our fellow man.
Last week I had made a Facebook live video about our free-range turkeys that we sell. Encouraging people to get theirs so that it would thaw out to be cooked for the impending holiday. Within an hour after the post, I was contacted by someone who asked if they could purchase 10 turkeys. Of course I said they could and asked what sizes they would like. What was communicated next is what warmed my heart - this person did not want the turkeys for themselves but wanted us to donate them to people in need in the Chippewa Valley. After a short pause, I said of course we could make that happen.
So if you are struggling to think of what you are thankful for in 2020, remember that acts of kindness, no matter how big or small, takes the focus off of us and on to our fellow man.
