Earlier this year we announced that Dustin, the winner of our Second Chance program, would be awarded a life changing oral surgery. As a new father and EMT, Dustin has stayed busy during the COVID-19 pandemic. His journey has been long, but we were finally able to bring him in for his surgery today. We asked what he is most looking forward to after surgery, and he answered, “having a prideful smile.” Regarding his surgery, Dustin said, "right now I'm nervous, but I'm hopeful and I have nothing but the utmost respect and appreciation for what they're doing. I know they are going to do a great job." The person that he is most excited to smile at after surgery is his son. He said, "I don't want him to remember me with messed up teeth. When he gets older, I can tell him to keep his looking like mine." Dr. Krajekian explained, "this procedure will restore his smile, improve his function, enhance his confidence, and be a life changing moment for him." Stay tuned for more updates on Dustin. We are so excited to share his brand new smile with all of you soon!😄

Whether you have a teen complaining about jaw pain or have recently noticed your gums stinging after drinking coffee, it’s not wise to put off wisdom tooth extraction. While your body will give you several signs that your wisdom teeth are coming in, not all are obvious. Letting those third molars grow in for too long will not only damage your other teeth but make recovery slower. That’s why you’ll want to get those pesky extra teeth removed before they cause any problems. Read our latest blog post detailing signs to look for so you can keep you or your child’s oral health in check! MTSTATEOMS.COM Are your wisdom teeth coming in? Signs and symptoms to watch out for. - Mountain State Oral and Facial Surgery
