Earlier this year we announced that Dustin, the winner of our Second Chance program, would be awarded a life changing oral surgery. As a new father and EMT, Dustin has stayed busy during the COVID-19 pandemic. His journey has been long, but we were finally able to bring him in for his surgery today. We asked what he is most looking forward to after surgery, and he answered, “having a prideful smile.”
Regarding his surgery, Dustin said, "right now I'm nervous, but I'm hopeful and I have nothing but the utmost respect and appreciation for what they're doing. I know they are going to do a great job." The person that he is most excited to smile at after surgery is his son. He said, "I don't want him to remember me with messed up teeth. When he gets older, I can tell him to keep his looking like mine."

He grew up in Southern California and had every intention of staying there until he recognized his passion for dentistry and oral surgery. When he realized that oral surgery allowed him to do many different things, he was inspired to choose it as his career.
As an oral surgeon, Dr. Henderson is able to help many different people change their lives. Whether he’s performing a simple tooth extraction or a cosmetic procedure, he enjoys helping patients feel better. He takes patient care very seriously. Dr. Brock is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and served in the U.S. Army as Chief of Maxillofacial Surgery at Bassett Army Hospital in Fort Wainwright, Alaska.
Having returned to his home state of West Virginia to practice, Dr. Brock offers a wide range of services. His extensive training allows him to practice the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including laser surgery, facial cosmetic surgery, treatment and reconstruction of severe facial injuries and deformities and surgery to correct congenital facial deformities.
Dr. Brock always takes the time to get to know each of his patients so they can feel completely comfortable while under his care.
