You might have noticed that we've been kind of quiet lately. We have decided to centralize our posts, so we are mostly posting on our main MTI Physical Therapy Facebook page. This page will remain active as a location page, but we won't be updating it much. If you haven't already, please visit our main page and "like" it. MAY THERAPIST OF THE MONTH: Rett Nicolai, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT
Rett has been with MTI Physical Therapy since 2006 and practices out of our First Hill clinic. Here’s what Rett has shared about his specialties and interests:
“I've enjoyed my time over the last many years working with patients and all their varied injuries or challenges. It's fun for me to ascertain what the problem is and address it. Working with headaches, cervical spine, and ankles are my favorites, but I enjoy working with patients with other pathologies as well.
I love teaching and seeing students grow. In fact, I often have students of various levels shadowing me. It brings me great pleasure to hear that a student had new success with their own patients after fine-tuning their skills.
Summer and warmth is here and it's a great time to get outdoors. But, you can often find me outdoors in all seasons to avoid the crowds. Have a great summer!”

It's been 11 days since the fatal mudslide in Oso and relief workers are still on site working hard to bring some closure to families. While there has been a huge community response with donations for the victims, all of the relief organizations are now saying that what they need most is money, which can be allocated as needed. MTI Physical Therapy just made a donation to the local American Red Cross to support the relief efforts in Oso. We invite you to join us in supporting this local community.
