Last Friday, MTI had our annual company meeting, which was virtual this year in true 2020 fashion. One of the highlights of our meeting by far, was having the opportunity to hear from Ken Workman, who is a Duwamish Tribal Council Member and a direct descendant of Chief Seattle. At our meeting, he provided a deeper understanding of the history of the Duwamish people’s land we occupy and did a formal land recognition for the Duwamish in Lushootseed and in English. We are so grateful to him for sharing his time and knowledge with us.
