@hebegb501 was pretty close as to what was that hidden winch mount was connected to. @lucky8offroad makes some great Land Rover parts and we just installed a hidden winch kit on a 2017 Land Rover Discovery. Don't see these very often. We can source parts for more than just the run of the mill off-road rigs. Forty one years brings a lot of knowledge.
It's coming along nicely. ARB bumper getting fitted now and winch ready to be installed. Then the wait for the rear bumper with tire carrier. Lots of parts in containers on boats in the ocean waiting to be unloaded.
