About

Scott Moyer has been playing professionally and teaching music privately and in schools for over 30 years, and has extensive knowledge of many instruments, song writing, band and performance skills. His expertise is in overseeing and sharing with others the art of playing music together and achieving significant results through that process. From the beginning of time, music has served as our Universal Language, rhythm being one of the three essential elements. Every world culture has developed their own unique form of rhythmic communication evolving over time and played upon the indigenous instruments of their land. Over thousands of years, these multi-cultural rhythms have become accepted as the common, unifying language & have been handed down through the ages to become recognizable in all of the music we hear & experience today. Call Scott to schedule your lesson today!!

In the Middle Ages, music was emerging in characterization by the uses of musical notation in its early form. From this came two types of music called polyphonic and monophonic. Polyphonic music was comprised of multiple layers of sound, while monophonic music carried one melody and no accompaniment.
