When a vision-impaired lab mix named Sam took a tumble into the Intracoastal Waterway Saturday morning in Delray Beach, a neighbor on a paddle board called 911 for help. The dog was too heavy for the paddle boarder to get him out of the water by himself. The crew from DBFR Station 112 responded quickly, and Capt. Dan Waldrep jumped in to help. He and the crew tied a harness around Sam to hoist him up. He’s back on land with his thankful family. Nice teamwork, everybody!

I find that a deep muscle massage really works best. Although at the time of the massage it can border on painful, working the "knots" and relaxing them really helps me. Nicole is a very skilled therapist. She always asks if there are any areas in particular that need attention. I usually tell her my priorities and ask her to dedicate as much time as she feels necessary. I prefer to have Nicole pay attention to the troubled areas as opposed to feeling pressured to massage every part of my body. I have had more than 1 massage with Nicole, and in a very short time she has learned the trouble spots that I have. She is able to apply the right amount of pressure, and she also senses when it is to much. Nicole also seems to incorporate massage techniques such as Shiatsu into her massage.
