Today, My Little Rascals talked about keeping those germs away and we practiced wearing our masks. We decorated our own mask and worn them throughout the day. Only superheroes wear a mask.๐ท
Starting Monday September 21, children ages three and up are required to wear a mask while in child care programs.
We will provide our families with the written policy and new classroom schedule which will allow for mask breaks.
แญแฉแแดแTแ... please practice mask wearing at home and talk to your kids about why it is important.
We are implementing a phase-in plan to allow children to get acclimated to mask wearing.
We will share helpful videos and guides for parents to use along the way as well.

In honor of National Drinking a straw day... we bring to you two videos of these cuties working on strengthening their oral muscles with straw exercises.
Thanks to The Sassy OT weโve learned about how important skipping the โskippy cupโ (aka sippy cup) is and moving onto cups with straws instead. Sheโs taught us how using straws can help with clearer speech and a more appropriate swallow pattern.

โข he is new to the straw and just wanted to bite since it was new to him but that was his first time trying so yay to both of them!! So proud! ๐ฅฐ๐๐ผ
Yoga class with our preschoolers.
Practicing yoga is important for kids. Yoga helps kids to relax, relieve stress and anxiety and helps sleep better. It helps to improve memory and cognitive function by creating focus within. Here at My Little Rascals the kids love doing yoga it requires concentration of both the mind and the body.

As some of our preschoolers are preparing for kindergarten they have been working very hard on developing the following skills.

~ speak using complete sentences
~ recognize some common sight
