A minor cut may heal fine on its own but prolonged bleeding may indicate a more significant problem. For instance, if you cut your finger on a piece of glass you might be unsure whether it needs professional care of not. However, only a physician can properly explore the extent of your injury, including whether you damaged the tendon. If that’s the case, it could mean a loss of function in that finger down the road.
If you have a laceration or cut and aren't sure if you need stitches, come see us!. We provide excellent urgent care for your medical emergencies.

IS IT STREP THROAT?
Strep throat is a contagious bacterial infection caused by Group A Streptococcus. It can be spread by an infected person through coughing, sneezing, or saliva. The symptoms include fever, chills, sore throat, swollen neck lymph nodes, and white patches on the tonsils. Antibiotics such as Amoxicillin or Penicillin can help treat strep throat.
It is important to note that several throat infections mimic the symptoms of strep throat. Some are caused by viruses and can’t be treated with antibiotics.
If you or your child are showing signs of strep throat, bring them in. We can do a rapid strep test and prescribe antibiotics so you can begin to feel better. We want you and your family to be healthy and happy!
