Nada Djordjevich is a writer, educator, and consultant. She has worked with schools, communities, and arts organizations for fifteen years. As Executive Director of Gibson and Associates, she has written grants providing more than $30 million to improve outcomes for disadvantaged youth, crafted strategic plans for nonprofits, and evaluated public programs. A graduate of Harvard University and UC Berkeley, Nada taught at The Packer Collegiate Institute of New York City, and City College of San Francisco, and was an administrator for Johns Hopkins University's Center for Talented Youth program.
Nada is also dedicated to the literary arts, as an editor, writer, and volunteer. She was a founding editor of On the Page magazine (onthepage.org), a nonprofit literary magazine, fiscally sponsored by the West Coast journal Zyzzyva. She recruited writers, editors, and photographers, and produced fundraising and literary events including readings in New York City at the KGB Bar and during the San Francisco Litquake Festival. Stories from On the Page were reprinted in Utne Reader and a Norton Anthology among other publications.
Nada completed a certificate in screenwriting from the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, and is a member of Bay Area Women in Film and Media. She received writing honors and awards from Vermont Studio Center, Southampton Writers Conference, the Squaw Valley Community of Writers, Chesterfield Writers Film Project, American Zoetrope, Bluecat Screenplay, and the Litcamp Basement Series in San Francisco. Nada tutors writing to youth in schools through 826 Valencia in San Francisco, and was named one of their Top 100 Volunteers in 2016.
Nada is active in the Bay Area outdoor community. She has been a member of the SF Tri Club for many years, and plays soccer. She also enjoys backpacking and hiking with her family, friends, and dog.
