The growth of the Nashville area has created a high case volume. NVS is open and available to you and your pets. Due to this high case volume, wait times are extremely variable and may be extended, especially for less critical patients. Cases will be seen in the order of severity, with the most critical being prioritized. We will try out best to communicate wait times. We appreciate your patience as we work diligently to provide all patients with the care they deserve.

Nashville Vet Specialists - Clarksville November 18 at 10:34 AM · A disease like Parvovirus in dogs is highly contagious and can have deadly consequences. 🐩 Parvovirus attacks the intestines and heart. 🐕 The main source is feces of infected dogs. 🐶 The virus can affect puppies too young to be vaccinated, puppies within their vaccination course and unvaccinated adult dogs. 🐕‍ Vaccinating your pet is the only way to protect them from the disease. If your dog exhibits symptoms, take them to your nearest veterinarian to be tested immediately. The quicker they can be treated, the better the chance of recovery.

Good information from our sister hospital in Clarksville. They treated a dog with a snake bite yesterday. Nashville Vet Specialists - Clarksville March 22 at 12:42 PM · Warmer weather means pets are at a greater risk for snake bites. If your pet is bitten by a venomous snake, seek veterinary care immediately. Carry your pet if possible. Don't waste time trying to suck out the venom because that doesn't work. We can treat your pet with antivenom, IV fluids and pain medications. Most pets will recover with prompt and appropriate treatment, but snake bites can be fatal.
