Natasha’s Just Brittle has been serving superior quality confections for over 7 years! Natasha’s Just Brittle was first established in 2007 when Natasha, a single mother, owner and operator of Progress Place Learning Center (PPLC), a daycare center for children 6 months to 12 years old, decided to give her students a lesson in business management. Natasha sought a small project to help illustrate the concept of business to her young students. The children made and sold cakes, cookies, smoothies, brownies and brittle. That summer the children earned $453 and with their earnings took a trip to Free State Sport Arena. The brittle out sold all other products and was a constant request from parents long after the class project ended. Natasha knew she was onto something spectacular. As Natasha transitioned PPLC into a “green” environment, she began incorporating more organic fruits and vegetables into the daily diet of the children and her family as well. These experiences lead Natasha to create an all-natural brittle product and “Natasha’s Just Brittle” was born. Natasha’s love of sweets, the need to provide the healthiest ingredients for her family and the children she helped to develop each day, resulted in the creation of a signature brittle that showcased the cashew instead of the peanut. The business has expanded to include other specialty confectioneries with brittle bits delighting many a “sweet tooth”!
Natasha’s Just Brittle is slowly cooked with all fresh ingredients, including a secret blending of organic sugar, salted butter, fresh nuts, sea salt and a few other ingredients. My recipe does not incorporate corn syrup like most brittles and has no preservatives, artificial coloring or flavoring. Each brittle has its own unique recipe blending different extracts and spices to get the most flavors from the nut that is used.
I recommend you refrigerate (or freeze) the brittle until you are ready to enjoy it. Return to room temperature and enjoy within 2 months. Our delicious, all-natural brittle is produced by hand in small batches to ensure that you will always get a fresh product.
