Congratulations to Prakash on becoming a permanent resident!!! We're very happy that we were a part of keeping this family together.

Now this is how you show appreciation to your lawyer!!! Congratulations to Grace on getting her permanent residency this month!!! This girl literally catered a full lunch for our entire office today. She is now very high up on the list of favorite clients.
Congratulations to Ines on becoming a US citizen!!! This amazing woman first came to us over four years ago and we were able to get her residency after quite a battle. Now we finished up her immigration process with her naturalization. It's always gratifying to be there through the entire process, but this case is a little more special. We love what we do.
CONGRATULATIONS to Ramiro on becoming a permanent resident!!! We were so happy to help this awesome couple be able to live together for the rest of their lives. We love what we do.
Congratulations to Annie on becoming a US citizen!!! She nailed her interview and had no problems at all. We loved being a part of it.
New gringa!!!
Actual photo of my clients waiting for their interview at Ciudad Juarez.
We’re ready for Halloween!!!
Congratulations to Lorna on becoming a permanent resident!!!
Congratulations to Patricia on becoming a permanent resident!!! This girl was able to adjust through a lawful entry with advanced parole that USCIS has inexplicably said they will no longer allow. We got the application in before the change in policy so they were forced to grant it. It saved her thousands of dollars and a lot of time. Now this family will never have to worry about being separated again. We love what we do.
Congratulations to Sandra and Mitzue on becoming permanent residents!!! This mother and daughter have been here a long time waiting for this to finally happen. This case was especially rewarding. We love what we do!!!
We love this family. Consular cases are the hardest but most rewarding. We love what we do.
It's competition day!!! Every Halloween a few Dallas and Oklahoma City Immigration attorneys have a costume contest that is judged by our chief counsel. Here are our last two years submissions. Last year's zombie advertisement got us second place. This year however, we will be victorious. We will post our final submission later as well as some of the other firms' entries.
Congratulations to Ruth and Akshay on finally making it back to the United States!! Ruth is now a full permanent resident! They originally hired us back in 2016 and it took 4 years, two waivers, and a lot of headache for this day to finally arrive. We’re all doing the happy dance today. We love what we do.
Congratulations to Vitali on getting his R1 visa approved!!! We love religious visas and helping our US churches get the best Pastors in the world to preach to their congregations.

Biden might need years to reverse Trump's immigration policies on DACA, asylum, family separation, ICE raids, private detention and more
President Trump issued several executive orders and passed multiple bills that restricted immigration. Does Biden plan to reverse these changes? Find out on our blog. https://bit.ly/2JRCoOE
Now this is how you take care of your lawyer!!! Two dozen of the biggest tamales I’ve ever seen. We were all very happy in my office.
Congratulations to one of our favorite clients on becoming a US citizen today!!! We were with her from the beginning all the way back in 2014 when we started her difficult immigration case. We were blessed to be a part of the final step today. We love what we do!!!
Congratulations to Albi on getting his permanent residency!!! This is a very fun family and we are so happy that they no longer have to worry about being together.
Its always fun to help a married couple get naturalized at the same time!!! Congratulations to this family on becoming US citizens!!! Now they are full gringos just like the rest of us. We love what we do.
WE HAVE A NEW NATURALIZATION TEST!!!
USCIS announced that it revised the civics test for naturalization. Some of the changes between the 2008 version and the 2020 version are:
• The 2008 version required officers to ask examinees 10 questions, and examinees needed to answer 6 correctly to pass. The 2020 version maintains the 60% pass rate, but officers ask examinees 20 questions, and examinees must answer 12 correctly to pass.
• The 2008 version required examinees to study a full list of 100 civics questions. The 2020 version includes 128 questions.
The biggest to know know with this news is, applicants who apply for naturalization on or after Dec. 1, 2020, will take the updated version of the test. Those who apply before Dec. 1, 2020, will take the current version of the test.
Our office can provide both versions of the test for you. If you have any questions feel free to give us a call.
Congratulations to Maria on arriving to the US with her permanent residency!!! This is especially rare because the consulate in Mexico is closed right now. Our amazing paralegal Brenda was able to get her an emergency exception and now she is here with her family. We love what we do!!!
Congratulations to our amazing, bad ass, attorney Melissa on being nominated by Super Lawyers as a 2021 Rising Star!!! There is a reason we all love her. She is one of the best lawyers in the country and she works with us. We are lucky to have her, but our clients are the ones who mainly benefit.
This is how you take care of your lawyer!!! Two bottles of very good tequila from Mexico. We love Gerardo and his family.
Congratulations to Luis on becoming a US citizen!!! This one is a little more special for me since I have been working with this family since about 2011. It involved an incomplete international adoption and required a full court order from a Mexican Court. This was all while I was a new attorney and didn't know a thing. Luckily, I had a good friend at the Mexican Consulate that put me in touch with the right people and we were able to get him his residency before it was too late. They came back to me for his citizenship. It cases like this that make me very happy to be an immigration attorney.
Congratulations to Nicole on becoming a permanent resident!!! We absolutely love this couple and are so happy they can stay together as a family.
Congratulations to Lisa on becoming a US citizen!!! Lisa has been a permanent resident for so long and it was simply time for her to finish up her immigration process. We were very happy to be a part of it.

Congratulations to Sana on becoming a permanent resident!!! We are incredibly happy about this case and things couldn't have gone smoother. We are so happy for this family.
The Department of Justice, or DOJ has just finalized its second set of asylum regulations in less than a week. Read our latest blog to learn more. https://bit.ly/3h4KlMX
This is what an initial application for asylum looks like for a family of four. Apparently USCIS has not heard of or doesn’t care about the paperwork reduction act. Seriously, if it doesn’t include at least this much evidence, your chances of winning are close to zero. That is why people who try to apply for asylum without the help of a qualified attorney are almost always denied. We are hopeful they make changes to this someday.
In ILRC v. Wolf, the government filed a motion for voluntary dismissal of its appeal. The fee rule was temporarily enjoined in its entirety in October 2020. This motion ensures that the USCIS fee rule will remain enjoined in its entirety. Learn more in our latest blog. https://bit.ly/2Xy5eqQ
Congratulations to Carmen, Camila, and Alondra on becoming permanent residents!!! This whole family now gets to stay together. We love what we do!!!
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services today announced it will temporarily suspend in-person services at all field offices, asylum offices and application support centers on Jan. 19 and 20 to ensure the safety of their employees and individuals with appointments.
USCIS will reschedule individuals who had appointments on Jan. 19 and 20 and send them notices with their new appointment dates. If you have an appointment either today or tomorrow give our office a call.
Normally, USCIS uses a random lottery to select H-1B visa petitions. Now, the agency will rank and select applicants according to wage. Visit our blog for more details. https://bit.ly/3qjCsGY
Congratulations to Bassam on FINALLY becoming a US citizen!!! This case took over 3 years to process and no one knows why. However, USCIS finally got around to approving it. We are very happy.
We love this girl!!!

Nathan is literally the best Attorney DFW Texas has got and I had the honor to be represented by him. He made sure to have all the paperwork and had my file ready to go on the big day! I am truly grateful for his help and appreciate his team who kept me posted throughout the process. My mom, dad, sister, and brother were represented by Nathan & Melissa. They’re extremely professional attorneys who helped us along the process of becoming a US Citizen.
Congratulations to Carlos on becoming a US citizen!!! This case is a little more special as our firm helped him get his original residency, meaning we have helped him through the whole process. It's even better that he is catracho!!! We love what we do!!

Due to the craziness that is this weather, pretty much everything that has to do with immigration is closed in Dallas. The Immigration Court, USCIS, and most importantly, our office, will be closed tomorrow. We will keep you up to date on when and if anything ever opens again. Stay warm!!!

Congratulations to Swamy on getting her permanent residency!!! This case took a little more time and a lot more work than any of us wanted, but in the end this family gets to stay together!!! It even required a short trip to Honduras. We love what we do!
Hehehe. Mexico sent him back, but separated him from his wife and kids. 🤷♂️
It looks like we should be back to normal next week!!! Thanks so much for everyone's patience during this week. For all of you that had an appointment with USCIS or the immigration court this week, you should get a reschedule notice soon. As of today, USCIS and the courts should be open again on Monday. Most importantly, our offices will be open as well. For those that had appointments this week, you should already be rescheduled, but if not, give us a call on Monday and we will fit you in.

President Biden Lifts Restrictions on Consular Processing for Family Members
FINALLY!!!
President Biden on Wednesday, Feb. 24 lifted the Trump-era restrictions on the granting of immigrant visas for family members other than the spouses and children of U.S. citizens. This proclamation allows for the granting of immigrant visas for all family members with an approved petition and current priority date, as well as winners of this year’s Diversity Visa lottery. Note that Presidential Proclamation 10052 remains in place, so the entry of nonimmigrant workers is still suspended.
The Department of State issued guidance for immigrant visa applicants to resume processing of their visas. This has been a particular sore spot for our firm as we have a few clients that are stuck away from their families. We are all very happy that this ridiculous restriction has finally been lifted. If you have any questions on whether this will help your case, feel free to give us a call.
