Today on World CP day, we’re sharing a story from our client Calvan that highlights the importance of independence and mobility.
“We are very busy people,” said Calvan about himself and his wife Jasmine who also has CP. “It’s not like you go to therapy or school then head back home. You do this, then that, then whatever else your chair can do. You need people who will be there, who will care about you and who will give you the respect you deserve. Anything I’m able to do, I owe to NSM.”

We are sad to hear of the passing of Pat Quinn. Pat had ALS and was one of the co-founders of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Today we celebrate his life and recognize the enormous contribution he made in helping raise awareness and funds in the fight against ALS. The Ice Bucket Challenge raised $115 million for the The ALS Association and over $220 million around the world for ALS research.
