Huy Quang Hoang, MD, is a native of Vietnam and graduated from the University of Maryland. He moved to southern California to study internal medicine and then acupuncture at UCLA. He has worked at prestigious hospitals such as Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and he is now medical director of Natural Health Medical Center in Lawndale, CA.
Dr. Hoang practices conventional Western as well as natural medicine. He believes that each has its own benefits. Together, they can provide the best possible health care for many patients although he leans towards natural medicine whenever possible. He looks at the ideal role of medicine as being preventive, not curative. When the body has an ailment, Dr. Hoang applies medicine to support the body’s natural healing processes. He sees total health as being not just physical, but a combination of body, mind, and spirit. His practice is centered on the patients, not their medical conditions. Dr. Hoang promises to look for the best treatment for each individual patient. In turn, he encourages patients to take responsibility for their own health.
