Increase in Canine Parvovirus Cases Noted in Harris County
Harris County Pets is experiencing an increase in the number of canines with parvovirus entering the facility from the community. Most are puppies under six months of age with no vaccination history. Their ages range from 12 weeks to 2 years, with most being approximately 14 weeks of age. The clinical signs have ranged from mild to severe gastrointestinal symptoms with varied outcomes.
